SAVE YOURSELF FROM THIS CROOKED GENERATION

The world is crazier than ever before. Because of the advance of social media, we are more open to almost all information, both good and evil, at our fingertips. In this life situation, the message of the day is very relevant i.e., save yourself from this crooked generation and join the believers in Christ (Acts 2).

The influence and effect of sin tend to focus on ugliness, brokenness, sin, pain, and betrayal; than the beauty, wholeness, sanctity, joy, faithfulness and the like attributes of God Being focused and becoming part of this crooked generation leads us towards destruction. Attachment to carnal things and persons binds and enslaves us, when we possess things or people, we can be possessed by them. It is praiseworthy to verbalise the words of St. Augustine, ‘our hearts are restless, oh Lord, until it rests in you.’

We have to save ourselves from this crooked generation. We do this by repenting for our sins, turning to God, and by baptised in the name of Jesus Christ. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved than the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12). It is through God’s grace manifested in and through His incarnated Son Jesus Christ, in all its fulness especially in and through his paschal mystery we are saved. For by the blood Of Christ we are set free, that is, our sins are forgiven (Eph 1:7).

By walking in the right path, we will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit with all its fruits and gifts (Acts 2:28). Christ’s joy comes to us, and our joy becomes complete (Jn 15:11). Everything will be made known to us (Jn 15:15). Whatever we shall ask in Jesus name, it will be given to us by God (Jn 15:16). We become the temple of the Holy Trinity (Jn 14:23). We become part of the mystical body of Jesus Christ, the Church (Rom 8:4-5), and we become a witness of Jesus Christ to the end of the earth (Acts 1:7-8).

Response: His merciful love fills the earth.
